John Kealy’s review of Black Hill in Brainwashed, satisfyingly observed that it “forces the listener to commit to the album as a whole” thereby setting the recording at odds with a culture prone to swift, single track download “fixes”. How apt then that this review should appear in The Silent Ballet in which the main criticism would appear to be that “it” doesn’t easily blend with your “daily routine”. This little reviewer also posts the blinding insight: “sitting and staring at the ceiling for almost an hour and a half counts as waste of time”
Really? Depends, I suppose, on what is occupying your mind while you’re lying there.
