Ludwig van Beethoven: music is the electric soil in which the spirit lives, thinks, and invents

HG began a new piece of work last year called Black Paper after we had been contacted by Kenji Siratori. (He reviewed Pilgrim for Gaze Into A Gloom and supplied soundfiles of his reading his own work with a view to collaborating. His idea of collaboration amounted to requesting us to deconstruct these sound files, with no further iteration of ideas – perfect!)

As green shoots begin – I mean just begin – to emerge from the chaos of the new temporary studio in which operating platforms remain uncertain, just as is the balance between outboard and software, authored and sampled, and so forth – I am at least happy that the full name for this little piece of work is now in place: Black Paper, Electric Soil
